  • 2020 Northern New Mexico Normal School Alumni Association, Inc. Scholarship
  • The NNMNSAA Scholarship is intended to assist local students interested in attaining a higher education at a Vocational School, College or University. Two $1000 Scholarships will be awarded by the NNMNSAA Scholarship Committee.

  • Eligibility Requirements:

  • · Only students who have graduated from the following school districts and plan to attend a Vocational School, College or University are eligible:

  • · Mesa Vista, Pojoaque, Chama, Jemez, and Espanola

  • · Applicant must have applied & been accepted to a Vocational School, College or University

  • · Academic Performance

  • · Have demonstrated financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office

    Los Alamos Scholarship Foundation Career Pathways Scholarship

  • Los Alamos Scholarship Foundation Career Pathways Scholarship application cycle is moving ahead has extended the application deadline from April 20 to May 22.

  • Examples of successful Career Pathways applicants may include:
    A current high school senior who has a strong interest in a specific trade or career path, and intends to enroll in a 2-year degree or certificate program in that field immediately after high school. A GED recipient who is currently making minimum wage and is motivated to go back to school to gain additional skills and obtain a better-paying job. An adult who left formal education and wants to earn an Associate’s degree that will allow them to provide for their family while pursuing their dreams. An individual who already has a degree and years of work experience, but wants to pursue a different path and needs a 2-year degree or certification to jumpstart their career change. Please help us spread the word about this upcoming scholarship deadline by sharing this link with your students and colleagues.     Amarante and Cleon Trujillo Scholarship

  • Maximum Award: Two scholarships approximately $2,500 each Eligibility Requirements: Complete a scholarship application Minimum GPA: 2.5 Letter of recommendation: 2 teacher recommendations Be enrolled full time in an accredited college or university. Scholarship deadline: May 5, 2020 Leadership Essay not to exceed 500 words The Amarante and Cleon Trujillo Scholarship will be awarded to a Mesa Vista High School graduating senior who has met the minimum requirements stated above. A committee set up by the building principal or designee will review all applicants who submit and scholarship application and use a point system to make the best decision. The scholarship will be in effect until the total money available has been exhausted. The graduating senior must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and present the first semester course schedule. The recipient will receive a onetime check in the amount of approximately $2,500 after all criteria have been met.     The Fall 2020 Lobo Leaders Scholarship

  • $2000 (Paid Over 4 Semesters)
    Eligibility Criteria:
  • • Applicant must be a graduate from a New Mexico high school in the 2019-2020 academic year
    • Applicant must enroll in and earn a minimum of 12 new credit hours at UNM-Taos in the Fall semester of the upcoming academic year
    • Applicant must have a final cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above from high school
    • Applicant must include a 500 word essay addressing the following:
    o What does leadership mean to you?
    o What are your professional aspirations?
    o How will you use your leadership skills to reach these goals?
    • This scholarship is renewable for the Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and Spring 2022 semesters. Applicant must earn at least 12 new credit hours each semester and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA at UNM-Taos in order to remain eligible for the scholarship.
    • Please include a copy of your unofficial high school transcript. Final, official high school transcripts must be submitted to UNM-Taos upon graduation.
    Deadline for submission: EXTEND TO FRIDAY, April 17, 2020

    The Fall 2020 UNM-Taos Gateway Scholarship

  • $1000 (Paid Over 2 Semesters)
    Eligibility Criteria:

  • 1. Applicant must be a graduate from a New Mexico high school in the 2019-2020 academic year
    2. Applicant must enroll in and earn a minimum of 12 new credit hours at UNM-Taos in the Fall semester of the upcoming academic year
    3. Applicant must include a 500 word essay addressing the following:
    a. What are your educational goals?
    b. What are your career goals?
    c. How do you plan to reach these goals?
    4. Applicant must have a completed FAFSA on file with UNM-Taos.
    5. This scholarship is renewable for the Spring 2021 semester. Applicant must earn at least 12 new credit hours each semester and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA at UNM-Taos in order to remain eligible for the scholarship.
    6. Please include a copy of your unofficial high school transcript. Final, official high school transcripts must be submitted to UNM-Taos upon graduation.

    2020 KIT CARSON ELECTRIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND

  • Available to qualified students who attend either a public or private school and whose parents are members of the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative, Inc. and reside within the service area of the Cooperative.
  • Applicant must be of good character as evidenced by at least one (1) letter of recommendation from teachers, principals, counselors, etc. from the schools they are currently attending. Applications must be postmarked no later than April 9, 2020. See counselor more information.

    Horatio National Career & Technical Scholarship Program

  • Receive up to $2,500. Eligibility: Enroll a 2 year career or technical degree or certificat­e program by fall 2020 and demonstrate financial need and Pell Grant eligible.

    Holy Cross Hospital Auxilary Scholarship

  • Must be graduating senior who lives in Taos County, Accepted to an accredited 4 or 2 year college or vocational school. Have 3.0 or greater GPA. Due April 2, 2020. See counselor for more information.

    New Mexico Association of School Business

  • New Mexico Association of School Business Officials will be offering six scholarships for $1,500.00 and one for $2,500.00 for the 10th Annual Joni Heinsohn Memorial. Deadline February 7, 2020

    CHCI's R2L NextGen Program

  • Are you a high school student who wants to learn about how government works?

  • Apply now to CHCI's R2L NextGen program and take advantage of an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. R2LNextGen is a week-long leadership and civic engagement program for current high school sophomores and juniors. CHCI will bring a group of Latino high school students to D.C. to learn about how the Federal Government works, meet key leaders, visit historic sites and develop a deeper understanding of how they can affect positive change in their communities and their nation.

  • CHCI is excited to announce that we will be hosting two classes of R2L NextGen participants in 2020. The two programs will take place June 14-19 and July 19-24, 2020.* Currently, we are accepting applications from students in 10 regions, four states, and Puerto Rico.
